For the first time, this schools course presents YHE’s successful SongStory methodology into the classroom in its ideal form.

Let’s invite you first to enter the world of Playschool and meet our children characters, Rocket, Star, Melody and our nature-lover Twig.

Their personalities are based on children we all know from the classroom. We hear their adventures first through the Big story books and CD and join in the story song which catches the story theme in simple terms. In the next lesson, you can all share the animated DVD of the story and sing along again – this time doing some actions too!

The class books help reinforce the theme with pop outs, pencil work, stickers, colouring and matching challenges.
To highlight key topic vocabulary, each unit has a further lexical set song supported by actions and games.

The six lessons in each unit mean that topics are covered thoroughly and there is even the opportunity for the pupils to act out the story themselves at the end of each unit.
